Julia Burke is an associate lawyer at Robinson Heeney. Julia’s practice is focused on representing both employers and employees in all areas of employment law and includes workplace investigations.

Following a summer doing securities law at an investment management company, Julia articled with an esteemed full-service law firm in downtown Toronto where she gained practical litigation experience. Shortly thereafter, Julia was called to the bar and joined the Robinson Heeney team.

Julia studied science and business in her undergrad at Wilfrid Laurier University, obtaining an honours degree in Kinesiology with a Business Management Option. Her decision to study law at Osgoode Hall Law school followed diverse professional experiences in areas such as sports media, radio promotions and event planning. While at Osgoode, Julia was an Orientation Leader, volunteered at the Community & Legal Aid Services Programme, acted as Dean’s Fellow for the Civil Procedure course and received the Harold J. Rubenstein Prize in Restitution law.

Outside of work, Julia enjoys working out and watching sports, exploring the Toronto food scene, spending time outdoors and travelling.
